AVE MARIA (Leprosy/Disabilities) (Capacity for 50 inmates)
Ave Maria is the epicenter of SUMANAHALLI Society, where everything converges. It is a Home Away from Home for those who lost their home and family, after being affected by leprosy or disabilities. At present there are 60 inmates residing at Ave Maria. Here we not only take care of their nutrition, health and hygiene, but also provide them with recreational activities, social events and accompany them in all the areas of their life to prevent social isolation, thus providing them holistic care. The medical team reaches out to the colonies where the rehabilitated former inmates are living with medical care and other socio economic support.
