Support For HIV / AIDS Affected (Capacity for 30 inmates)

Inaugurated on 25 January 2004 by His Excellency Hon. TN Chathurvedhi, the Governor of Karnataka, Support Care Centre has catered to the residential care, treatment, occupational therapy, skill training, job placement and rehabilitation of more than 3500 HIV/AIDS affected destitute until date. The 30-bedded SUPPORT CARE CENTRE is an initiative of Claretian Congregation under the leadership of Fr George Kannanthanam who responded to the plight of the HIV/AIDS affected individuals in and around Bangalore.

Support is run with the collaboration of various generous individuals, corporates and agencies, specially the Claretians of Bangalore province.

Support is close to its full capacity of 30 beds most of the time. There are four staff working for their welfare apart from Dr. John Paul who is providing free medical consultation and Mrs. Manjula who provides free Counselling.
