AVE MARIA (Leprosy/Disabilities) (Capacity for 60 inmates)
Ave Maria is the epicenter of SUMANAHALLI Society, where everything converges. It is a Home Away from Home for those who lost their home and family after being affected by leprosy or disabilities. At present, there are 60 inmates residing at Ave Maria. The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate, who are part of our caregiving team, lovingly take care of our residents, attending to their daily needs with compassion and dedication. Here we not only take care of their nutrition, health, and hygiene, but also provide them with recreational activities, social events, and accompany them in all areas of their life to prevent social isolation, thus providing them holistic care. The medical team also reaches out to the colonies where the rehabilitated former inmates are living, offering medical care and other socio-economic support.
